Coast your way to fun
Free family fun at Flamborough Head! South Landing Local Nature Reserve is hosting an event to celebrate the launch of the Flamborough Head code of conduct.
From 10a.m. to 7p.m. on the 21st and 22nd June there’ll be a wide range of activities to help everyone understand how to enjoy Flamborough safely and responsibly.
Whether you’re after a rockpool ramble or a seabird spectacular, there’s something for everyone. Booking is not required and a programme of events can be found here
Natural England will show you how to make models and kites of some of the weird and wonderful creatures you might meet. Yorkshire Wildlife Trust will be leading a seashore safari and the RSPB will be running puffin patrols from Bempton Cliffs. The lifeboat crew are waiting to welcome you to their boat and station and Seawatch are hosting a dolphin watch at the lighthouse.
Flamborough Head Project Officer, Leanne Stockdale says “It’ll be a great weekend for all the family – we want everyone to get out and enjoy Flamborough”.

The code of conduct is to encourage responsible use of the coast whilst providing a safer environment for both locals and tourist to enjoy. Although the code is voluntary, individuals and clubs are to support and review it.
