Natural England held a workshop with its main stakeholders in the South East region on 8 May 2007. Key messages from stakeholders included:
- Natural England must do more to communicate the detail of its key regional priorities to all stakeholders.
- Natural England must continue to develop its regional leadership role in key areas of activity.
- There is a strong desire amongst stakeholders for engagement over Natural England’s work plan development for 2008/09.
- Further clarification is required on Natural England’s role in relation to the historic environment.
- Further development of Natural England’s integrated service delivery is required.
- Stakeholders value early sight and awareness of changes in strategic direction.
