Defra Statutory Guidance for Natural England on Regional Planning and Associated Matters
South East Regional Schedule
During 2008 the South East region of Natural England will be working with a wide range of partners and stakeholders on regional plans, strategies and frameworks. We have published a national statement in response to Defra’s Statutory Guidance to Natural England on Regional Planning and Associated Matters. This sets out how we will engage with partners and policies at regional and sub-regional level, how we will prioritise our work and how we will manage our resources to best advantage to give leadership to the natural environment.
The following schedule has been prepared with reference to the national guidance and sets out the regional strategies, plans and frameworks in the South East where we expect our effort will be concentrated during this year. The basis on which we engage will be discussed and agreed with each partner. Natural England will be flexible and responsive to opportunities to secure wins for the natural environment and this schedule will be reviewed and updated as necessary.
