Stodmarsh: want to get involved?

Stodmarsh NNR is a ‘living laboratory’ where Natural England staff and volunteers carry out monitoring work, and students and universities undertake research.

For information about the school sessions and the facilities that Stodmarsh NNR offers, visit the page for schools and community groups.

See also our section on information for students and teachers. We provide information on places that schools can visit, resources for lessons, and contacts for other relevant information.

Volunteering

There are also opportunities to become a volunteer and we are currently running a volunteer taskforce at Stodmarsh NNR every other Monday from 10am to 3.30/4pm.

Participants can take part in a wide variety of tasks from reed cutting, scrub clearance, pathway maintenance and survey work and anyone is welcome to come and join in. Contact the Community Outreach Advisor: Joanna Carter, 0300 0600 4645, Joanna.Carter@naturalengland.org.uk

A similar taskforce has been set up for Wye NNR and Ham Street Woods NNRs.
